There is a limit to how many friends you can have.
You can check your current number of friends and your friend limit on the Friends List screen.

※ In the display “Friends: 00 / 000,” the number before the slash is your current number of friends, and the number after the slash is your friend limit.

You can increase your friend limit via [Collection] > [Twinkle Collection ~Buff~].

The number of Twinkle required and the conditions for unlocking additional slots vary depending on how many extra slots you want.
Please check the in‑app information for further details.

Q. My friend count hasn’t reached the limit, but I still can’t add more friends (an error appears).
A. Even if you have not reached your own friend limit, you cannot become friends if the other user has already reached theirs.


Also note that accounts you have set to [Hide] are still counted in your total number of friends.

For this reason, the number of visible friend icons/names may not match the total shown at the bottom of the Friends List screen.

You can check or unhide accounts you have set to Hide under [Privacy Settings] in the Settings menu.
